Dear friends and followers
As you might have noticed we have been very silent these last couple of years. No concerts and no new music for nearly four years can rightly be categorized as radio silence – we are writing you now to break that silence and let you in on what has been going on.
Around the fall of 2013 we had become tired. We had worked non-stop for 10 years and we felt increasingly exhausted and so we decided to take a break from it all. If not for anything then to preserve our friendship. We put everything on hold – management, label, booking, the works. Things came to a halt and they stayed like that for almost a year.
Then came summer 2014 and we started talking about maybe meeting up again – not to record or rehearse, just to talk. We had not had the sufficient time during our active years to really talk about what we wanted to do with the band, what kind of life we wanted with music or how we wanted things to work. We felt like we had half-stumbled into all our adventures and even though we never fell over we did indeed feel very unstable at times.
So we started talking and we jabbered on for around six months. Then words turned to music and we realized that we were not done yet. We approached an old friend and asked him to help us with the process of refining the material we had already to turn it in to coherent pieces of music. We have now come to the point where we are ready to record the whole shebang and release plans are similarly being made.
We know we have been silent and we know that many of you have been eager to know what has been going on. We’re happy to put to rest all speculations of any splitting up. No such thing is happening – quite the contrary. We just needed a little time – a break of sorts – to figure out what we were, where we were going and why. We appreciate the loyalty and patience you have all shown us and we aim to reward it plenty during the next couple of years.
Until then – take care!
VETO
