Seriernes Oscar uddeles i Los Angeles d.25 august, og blandt de nominerede i de største kategorier myldrer det med gamle kendinge fra ’Breaking Bad’, ’Mad Men’, ’Downton Abbey’ og ’House of Cards’, til ’The Big Bang Theory’ og ’Modern Family’ (sidstnævnte kunne sensationelt gå hen og vinde sin femte Emmy i streg).
Herfra er vi glade for at kunne konstatere, at også køkkendronningen Red, a la skuespillerinden Kate Mulgrew fra ’Orange is the new black’ er blevet æret med en nominering, ligesom der desuden er masser af fuld fortjent Emmy-kærlighed til ’True Detective’ – Woody Harrelson og Matthew Matthew McConaughey skal op imod hinanden i kategorien bedste skuespiller – kulthittet ’Sherlock’ og ‘Fargo’.
Men ikke alle er lige tilfredse med Emmy-panelets udvalg i år. Således hæfter flere amerikanske onlinemedier sig ved, at hverken ’The Americans’ eller ’Orphan Black’ er at finde blandt de nominerede, og på Twitter rases der over at ’The Good Wife’ ikke er med i kapløbet om prisen for bedste dramaserie.
