Det 22. Critics’ Choice Awards løb af stablen i nat dansk tid, hvor vært T. J. Miller delte priser ud på vegne af Broadcast Film Critics Association. Aftenens helt store vinder blev Damien Chazelles ‘La La Land’, der tog hele otte priser og en solid Oscar-føring med hjem fra aftenens prisuddeling.
I tv-regi fik ‘Game of Thrones’-prisen for bedste dramaserie, mens både Evan Rachel Wood og Thandie Newton modtog skuespillerpriser for deres robot-roller i ‘Westworld’. ‘Silicon Valley’ blev årets komedieserie, mens Alec Baldwin fik en pris for sin gæsteoptræden i ‘Saturday Night Live’ som kommende præsident Donald Trump.
Ligesom ved Emmy-uddelingen blev den hypede ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’ også hædret med hele tre skuespillerpriser og prisen for bedste miniserie.
