Danmark var repræsenteret i kategorien Bedste ikke-engelsksprogede film, da årets udgave af prisshowet Golden Globes i nat fandt sted.
Den danske Oscar-kandidat ‘Pigen med nålen’, instrueret af svenske Magnus von Horn og med Trine Dyrholm og Vic Carmen Sonne i front, kom dog til kort over for forhåndsfavoritten ‘Emilia Pérez’.
Den spansksprogede gangster-queer-musical gik i alt hjem med fire priser, herunder Bedste musical eller komedie og Bedste kvindelige hovedrolle i en musical eller komedie (Zoe Saldaña).
I dramakategorien for film gik Brady Corbets sværvægter ‘The Brutalist’ hjem med tre store priser, nemlig Bedste film, Bedste instruktør og Bedste mandlige hovedrolle (Adrien Brody)
På seriefronten dominerede særligt ‘Shogun’ og ‘Hacks’ indenfor henholdsvis drama og komedie eller musical. Desuden blev ‘Baby Reindeer’ kåret til årets bedste miniserie.
Golden Globes har været skandaliseret de seneste år, men folkene bag har forsøgt at genoprette deres ry. Det er en nu udvidet gruppe af ikke-amerikanske filmjournalister, der stemmer om prisen, og showet vises igen på tv.
