Der hersker ingen tvivl om, at musikkritikere favoriserer Fiona Apples ‘Fetch the Bolt Cutters’, som topper tre ud af nedenstående seks lister – hertil indtager hun også to andenpladser. Den enigmatiske sangskriver toppede da også vores liste over bedste udenlandske album.
Samtidig går Lil Uzi Vert igen med hovedværket ‘Eternal Atake’, mens også Dua Lipa og hendes retrofyldte popbaskere fra ‘Future Nostalgia’ er at finde flere steder.
Run the Jewels’ protesthiphop har virket mere relevant end nogensinde før, og deres juni-udgivelse ‘RTJ4’ har fået en fin placering over hele linjen – det samme har Phoebe Bridgers’ nænsomme melankoli på det gribende ‘Punisher’.
