Årets bedste film – ifølge internationale medier

Som filmkritikeren Eric Kohn fra Indiewire så klogt skriver: »Hvis du synes, det har været et dårligt filmår, er det, fordi du ikke har set nok«.

2019 har således budt på en bred vifte af fremragende og mindeværdige titler fra hele verden, og for nyligt offentliggjorde vi her på Soundvenue vores egen liste over årets bedste film med dansk premieredato.

Nu er det tid til at tage helikopterblikket og se på, hvad vores udenlandske kollegaer har ladet sig imponere af i året, der gik. Mange af titlerne fra vores liste går igen. Vi havde for eksempel sydkoreanske Bong Jon-hos ‘Parasite’ på en flot førsteplads, og den er også solidt repræsenteret på de internationale lister.

Skal vi tage de patriotiske briller på, kan vi glæde os over, at to danske film optræder på de andres lister. The Hollywood Reporter har således Mads Brüggers konspirationsdokumentar ’Cold Case Hammarskjöld’ med i deres top 10, mens Isabella Eklöfs ’Holiday’ er at finde på Sight & Sounds liste.

Derudover optræder en del film, vi stadig har til gode at se herhjemme, hvilket er den primære grund til, at det er spændende at gå på opdagelse i listerne fra udlandet. Heriblandt Safdie brødrenes ’Uncut Gems’ og Greta Gerwigs ’Little Women’. Der er altså også en masse at se frem til i 2020.
