Da det britiske tv-prisshow Bafta TV Awards i går løb af stablen, måtte storserier som ‘The Crown’, ‘The Last of Us’ og ‘Black Mirror’ overraskende nok gå tomhændede derfra, skriver Variety.
I kategorien Bedste internationale serie slog den relativt upåagtede franske serie ‘Class Act’ forhåndsfavoritterne ‘The Last of Us’, ‘Beef’, ‘The Bear’ og ‘Succession’.
En anden af sidste års store amerikanske dramaserier, ‘Succession’, hev dog en pris hjem. Manden bag fanfavoritten Tom Wambsgans, Matthew Macfadyen, vandt således i kategorien Bedste mandlige birolle.
I kategorien Bedste dramaserie (som er forbeholdt britiske serier) sejrede Netflix-gangsterserien ‘Top Boy’ over ‘Slow Horses’, ‘Happy Valley’ og ‘The Gold’. Jasmine Jobson vandt desuden for Bedste kvindelige birolle i samme serie.
En anden Netflix-serie, ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’, vandt desuden prisen for Bedste reality-serie.
