I går skulle musikindustriens største navne (samt deres musikvideoer) igen hædres til årets udgave af MTV Video Music Awards.
Inden showet bar Justin Bieber førertrøjen, hvad angår antal nomineringer, med syv af slagsen. Megan Thee Stallion var lige i hælene på ham med seks nomineringer.
Bieber endte med at vinde to priser, nemlig for Årets artist og Bedste pop med sangen ‘Peaches’, mens Megan Thee Stallion måtte gå tomhændet hjem.
En af de store vindere blev i stedet Lil Nas X, der fik tre priser for sin virale, satan-twerkende musikvideo til ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’, herunder Årets video og Bedste instruktion.
Olivia Rodrigo kunne også gå hjem med tre priser i favnen, blandt andet for Bedste nye artist og Årets sang (‘Driver’s License’). Desuden blev k-popgruppen BTS hædret med tre priser.
