Til januar løber den 62. årlige Grammy Awards-uddeling af stablen i Los Angeles. Nedtællingen til den store aften begyndte i går, da sløret blev løftet for samtlige nomineringslister.
Blandt de førende navne i kampen om statuetter finder vi Lizzo, Billie Eilish og Lil Nas X. I hælene på de tre i førerfeltet finder vi blandt andre Beyoncé, Lana Del Rey, Rosalía, Vampire Weekend, Tyler, the Creator og Bon Iver.
Listen over de nominerede rummer også et dansk bidrag. I kategorien Best Urban Contemporary Album er Jessie Reyez-ep’en ’Being Human in Public’ nemlig blandt de nominerede – en ep, som Hennedub har produceret et nummer på.
Forrige års Grammy-uddeling endte med protester over, at stort set alle de største priser blev scoret af mænd. Hertil svarede præsidenten af The Recording Academy (organisationen bag Grammy-uddelingen), at kvinderne var nødt til at »step up« for at komme ind i kampen. En udtalelse, der ikke overraskende blev kritiseret massivt under #GrammysSoMale-protester – et hashtag, der med det stærke felt af kvindelige kunstnere i år måske kunne gå hen og blive irrelevant.
Grammy-uddelingen finder sted den 27. januar, hvor Alicia Keys endnu en gang indtager værtsrollen.
